Helping Children Find Their Voice and Grow with Confidence

At Grow Language and Literacy, we believe every child has the potential to communicate with confidence and learn in their own unique way. Our paediatric speech pathology practice, based in Numurkah, supports children aged 2 to 16 who experience challenges in speech, language, literacy, and social communication.

Founded in 2024 by Nicole Austin, Grow brings together over 15 years of experience working across special education settings, private practice, and mainstream schools. Nicole has also led a team of 20 speech pathologists in a Melbourne-wide education initiative, equipping her with deep expertise in supporting children with a wide range of communication needs.

How we work with our families

At Grow Language and Literacy, we believe children make the most progress when families, teachers, and speech pathologists work as a team. We provide strategies that can be used at school and at home, so skills are practised in everyday life. With the help of easy-to-use technology, we make home practice fun and accessible for families, turning therapy goals into real growth.

Our Philosophy

At Grow, therapy is more than just a session . It’s about nurturing children in the environments where they feel safe and confident: at home, at school, and in their communities. We work closely with families, carers, and educators to create a supportive team around each child.

We believe progress happens when strategies are practical, easy to use, and carried into everyday life. That’s why our approach is evidence-based, engaging, and focused on real-world results.

Making a Difference Together

At Grow, we see every child as capable of growth. Our role is to provide the right tools, encouragement, and strategies so they can thrive. By working side-by-side with families, teachers, and communities, we turn small steps into big progress. Building stronger voices, confident learners, and brighter futures.
